ChartPro reads a chart — a photo, a screenshot, or a ticker you type — and computes support and resistance levels, patterns and momentum from the instrument's actual price history. The levels come from real bars, not from a model guessing at a picture.
Point the camera at any chart, or choose a screenshot from your library. ChartPro first tries to read the ticker and timeframe printed on it entirely on your phone — no photo leaves your device for this, and it costs nothing. If that reading is not confident enough, the photo is sent once so a model can read the label instead. Either way, only a ticker symbol comes out of this step; every level and number you see afterward is computed from that instrument's real price data, never from anything the model "saw" in the picture.
Tap Change symbol on the error screen, or use TYPE from the home screen and search by name or ticker. Real company search lists actual matches — Reliance Industries on the NSE and Reliance Steel & Aluminum on the NYSE are different companies that happen to share a name, and ChartPro will never silently pick one for you.
Reading the label off a photo can happen offline, but the numbers themselves cannot — ChartPro fetches real, current price history for the instrument before computing anything, and that step needs a connection. There is no cached or simulated data standing in for the real thing.
Options data covers US-listed equities and ETFs only in this version — Reliance, the Nifty, and other non-US instruments will not show an options entry point. This is a stated limitation, not a bug: there is no honest free options feed for every market yet, and ChartPro would rather leave the button off the screen than show you a partial or unreliable chain.
That happens when the option has no usable live price — no real bid, ask, or last trade to compute from. ChartPro never fabricates a Greek from a missing quote; the dash means "no data," not "zero."
ChartPro is subscription-only, with no free trial. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. To cancel, open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then ChartPro. Cancelling is handled entirely by Apple; the app cannot do it for you and cannot see your payment details.
If you have paid before and the app is not unlocked — after reinstalling, or on a new phone — use Restore purchases on the paywall.
Every plan includes unlimited symbol and ticker analysis, plus 300 chart scans a month (about 10 a day). Running out of scans does not lock the app — symbol and ticker analysis keeps working with no limit, and scans reset on your renewal date.
ChartPro describes what a chart has already done — structure, levels, and the momentum behind a move. It never recommends what to buy, sell, or hold, at what price, or when. Technical analysis is educational; markets carry risk of loss.
